Taalthuis works on the principle that anybody can learn Dutch. Taalthuis teaches you how to speak, read and write Dutch in small groups.

Exploring all kinds of interesting subjects and current topics you will gain command of the Dutch language in a light-hearted way. On top you will learn a lot about life in the Netherlands.
Taalthuis works with well trained teachers. The lessons take place at nice well located locations. All the lesson materials are made by Taalthuis. From September online exercises will be available.

The lessons take place during the day or in the evening and are given throughout the year, except during the (primary) school holidays. Students can join a course at their own level, after a trial lesson, at any time of year.

Taalthuis was founded by Margreet van 't Haaff in 2006. Margreet studied Dutch language and literature at the University of Leiden. When she had finished her studies she worked for ten years as a communications expert in both business and education.

As a mother of three children, she started to teach Dutch to expats in her own house. Her au pair also wanted to learn Dutch and meet other au pairs at the same time. She then decided to develop a course tailored to the situation of the au pair.

Since 2006 hundreds of au pairs and expats learned Dutch at Taalthuis. Margreet develops all the lesson materials of Taalthuis.
