Homestays are carefully selected and offer students the opportunity to learn more about the local culture in a comfortable setting while studying English in Oxford. These homes are often between 25 - 50 minutes away from the school by public transport. Families usually offer affordable meal plans that allow you to sample the local cuisine. If you have special requests or diet restrictions (because of religion or health reasons), please let us know in advance. Your housing starts on the Sunday before your first day of class and ends on the Saturday after your last day of class, unless otherwise noted. Learn more about homestay housing
The Heart of England has been at the centre of English history for centuries. It is perhaps most famous for its universities, with 'Oxbridge' (Oxford University and Cambridge University) being among the most prestigious institutions in the world. The region was fiercely contested during the English Civil War, with fortified towns such as Newark retaining their 17th-century defenses and fortifications to this day. Moreover, this region is one of the most picturesque in England, with miles of rolling hills, green fields and forests just waiting to be explored. The main cities in the Heart of England are Cheltenham, Oxford, Birmingham, and Cambridge. The region also hosts Shakespeare's birthplace, Stratford-upon-Avon, which is still at the centre of English theatre in the 21st century.
We have host tutors available in Oxford, Cambridge, Stratford Upon Avon, Birmingham, and Norwich.
