Leeds is a city and metropolitan borough located in West Yorkshire, England; it is the largest center for business, legal, and financial services outside London and is the financial, cultural and commercial center of the area. The name Leeds derives from "Loidis", the name given to a forest covering most of the kingdom of Elmet, which existed during the 5th century into the early 7th century. The city and surrounding district are moderately sized, with over 700,000 inhabitants. Students interested in studying at an English school in Leeds will enjoy the many activities that the area has to offer, including heading to Millennium Square, a great public space home to some breathtaking architecture, concerts, ice skating (in the winter), and Christmas markets. Students taking English courses in Leeds can also explore hidden gems of the city, such as St John's Church which was built just before the English Civil War and has beautiful gardens surrounding it and a lovely interior as well. Centre of English Studies gives students the unique opportunity to study in two countries in any of our centres. The Multi-Destination Course gives students the opportunity to live in both England and Ireland and more about the culture, history and social life of both countries.
This course combines our Standard General English Course (20 lessons) and 5 one-to-one private lessons per week.
The course is designed to improve students’ abilities to use language accurately and fluently while concentrating on the skills of listening, reading, speaking and writing.
