A beginner-level course designed for learners new to Japanese or with minimal prior experience. In one year, you’ll gain the essential communication skills to navigate daily life and begin using Japanese in simple professional settings.

Coto Japanese Institute is a full-time Japanese language school located in Kokubunji, a charming residential town in western Tokyo. The area is conveniently connected to central Tokyo via the JR Chuo Line. Shinjuku Station is approximately 25 minutes away, and there is also a direct line to Tokyo Station.

Kokubunji's rich cultural history is reflected in its many historical landmarks, temples, and parks, including the remains of Musashino Kokubunji Temple. The area is also home to around twenty universities, among them Tokyo Gakugei University, an institution that has played a significant role in shaping Japan’s educational policies.

We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.

Your letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you.
