Do you want to learn French in France and still have some time to explore the region? This is the program you are looking for!

Each week, you’ll have 20 hours of general French in mini-groups of up to 7 (average of 5). Focus is put on oral communication. You’ll have the opportunity to quickly improve thanks to the small class sizes. You won’t feel the pressure of large group classes; the intimacy of each group encourages participation at your own scale.

The mornings are class with the assigned teacher to your group level. You’ll use a provided textbook to work on oral communication and written French structure. During the afternoons you’ll attend several workshops that will offer another opportunity to practice your oral French in different contexts. Some examples include: listening and discussing current events and news headlines, speech, debate and discourse, phonetic exercises, exploring French culture through discussion and exploring the city’s history and uniqueness by foot.

Additionally, you’ll have private lessons each week, with a teacher that will prepare you for the DELF/DALF exams. You will work on all required skills of the exam, have a personalized training in your weaknesses, and attain advice on passing the exam. You will be tested on real samples of the DELF/DALF exams, preparing you even more. Everything is made for you to find the solutions to your specific troubles, elaborate on strategies for the exam and leave France on a successful note.

All our teachers have a DELF/DALF Examiner-Corrector’s license, so they are fully-equipped to perfectly prepare your success.

You can choose this program with a 1 week minimum and start any Monday that suits you best if you are not a beginner.

The ideal way to discover France and its people is to live with a local family and to share its way of life. Even if your French is limited, chatting at the family dinner table remains one of the best ways of improving your comprehension and vocabulary. Also, you discover the French mentality and of course, the famous French cuisine.

We know that a host family plays a very important role in making your stay a success. Consequently, we very carefully select families to ensure that you have a warm welcome. We regularly visit our host families and it is their warm and caring nature which helps to contribute to the good reputation of CLE.
