Course description

Study at Genki Japanese School for 10 weeks, at a big discount off our standard Japanese tuition cost! This special course is one of our most popular items.You'll study 20 class hours per week - two classes focus on grammar, and two classes focus on applying your skills to real-world situations. Classes have a maximum of 8 students, and focus on communication skills for daily life, rather than academic Japanese.

*This course does not include cultural activities for students. If you wish to include cultural activities in your reservation, please book the Standard Japanese course plus cultural activities.

** Complete beginners need to be able to read the Hiragana alphabet before starting.

Genki Japanese and Culture School (GenkiJACS) is an internationally acclaimed communicational Japanese language school that offers long-term study abroad courses, learning the Japanese language and culture in a relaxed and friendly environment. We are located in the heart of Nagoya City, the 4th biggest city in Japan.

We offer courses the smallest student visa accredited classes with a maximum of 8 students per class.
For students coming from overseas to study abroad at our language school, we can prepare a range of accommodation options including homestays and dorms and arrange various activities for the duration of your stay. We're here to make learning Japanese worthwhile and enjoyable - that's why students return to GenkiJACS again and again!

All of GenkiJACS' teachers are graduates of a 420-hour Japanese teacher training course at a recognized study institution. We hire only the best and perform regular training. Students agree: you won’t find better teachers!

For holidays, GenkiJACS either arranges an alternate event for students for the day it is closed, or refunds tuition for that day.

GenkiJACS is located just a few minutes away by walk from Nagoya Shinkansen station which is the world's largest train station and is in the center of the city.

Nagoya is the 4th largest city of Japan after Tokyo,Osaka, Yokokama, located in the centre of Aichi prefecture, full of history. It is the place that gave birth to Kiichiro Toyoda who started Toyota Motors, and establish Nagoya as one of the nation’s major manufacturing centers. With a great nightlife, lots of really good restaurants, and too many places to visit, you’re sure to have a great time in Nagoya.

Conveniently situated midway between Tokyo and Osaka, Nagoya offers great opportunity for travel to all parts of Japan. Study Japanese here and you will not only learn the language but also feel Japan's spirit.

Teaching methods are really Helpful in learning a language. Location was directly in front of the station which is convenient. Facility is really old and outdated. Classroom and system isn't built yet as its 1st year for GENKI JACS in Nagoya. If you like it clean. I recommend tell the school before hand to set up expectations.

Apartments are conveniently located in the central area of Nagoya, giving you the freedom to enjoy the city.
Apartments are usually Western style, about 20 square meters in size. All apartments have air conditioning, a bed, and are fully furnished. They also have a kitchen area (with cooking and eating implements), washing machine, and a bath and shower. Amenities such as shampoo, toilet paper, and bedsheets are provided. (Towels are not, so please bring your own.) The apartment includes high-speed Internet access.

Visa support

We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.

Your letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you. If you wish to receive your paperwork by express mail, you will be charged ¥ 6,500 when you register.

Flights and airport transfer

Please note that we do not book flights for our students. If you are researching airfare costs, we recommend using Kayak.com, a search engine that lets you compare flight options from your home country to Nagoya based on your budget, schedule and preferences.

Travel insurance

When you book a course with us, you can opt to purchase an international insurance plan that covers not only your health care cost but also loss of your personal belongings.
