The area that is now the town of Harlow has been occupied for a great length of time, but is now considered a 'new town', built after World War II to help ease the overcrowding in London. The new town incorporated the old market town of Harlow and that portion of the town is still referred to as Old Harlow. This beautiful site covers seven acres and includes glades, pools, lawns and alleys as well as an interesting collection of sculptures.
