Course description

There are those who simply need a private Spanish teacher because of their personal circumstances. This might be the case of those who need to develop specific language skills (medical Spanish, Spanish for business, etc.) in the shortest time frame possible or the case of those students who will only be in Boquete, Panama for a couple of days.

There may be other students who because of the way they learn, they simply need to pay more attention to a particular area and require the guidance of a private Spanish tutor. Students who have a more difficult time with their conversational or listening skills could also highly benefit from having private Spanish lessons to effectively learn Spanish.

The first advantage of having a Spanish teacher for yourself is obvious: you have the teacher just for you, no one else is in the class! This allows the Spanish class to be exactly what you want and what you need it to be. You can focus on your particular needs without worrying about the needs of other classmates.

The environment of a One to One Private Spanish Class in Panama can also help students feel more comfortable and more at ease. It may be the element required to boost their confidence and get the student speaking Spanish as fast as possible.

"Instructor- good, facility- missing, coordinated activities- missing."

Kathy Wennemann, student from USA

The instructor was good- but there was nothing else. The classroom was the back room of a coffee shop. When it was occupied, we sat on the patio. When the patio was busy we walked down the street to find another location- a ridiculous waste of my class time. Also, there were no coordinated activities.

"They did a great performance and I really enjoyed it."

Stefan Schlegel

First of all I have to say that that I never will regret my stay in Bocas. The people I stayed with were very friendly and I felt comfortable. Regards the school, I can say that everything just was fine. The teachers were friendly, they cared a lot and there was never more than five students in one class. Even in the afternoon, where I had a single class for communication. Just great. I learned so much. I finished the whole A2 course in two weeks.
The weather, beaches, palm trees and the nature was just terrific and I loved to spend my lunchtime beside the Caribbean sea.
I would do it again and again.

Our host families are middle class by local standards. A typical house will have a living room/dining room, a kitchen and bathroom and 3 or 4 bedrooms. There is often a yard outside which people use as an extension of the house. Air condition is not necessary because Boquete's temperature is naturally fresh. The houses are generally humble, but very comfortable, clean and safe.

Most families are located within walking distance to our Spanish Schools (5 - 15 minute walk) and only a few of our host families homes are located in the outer parts of the town of Boquete and Bocas del Toro and require public transportation (never more than 10 minutes). The families that are a little bit further away have more up-scale homes and host couples or entire families. Several of those families can give you a ride at certain times of the day.

There is often a yard outside which people use as an extension of the house. Air condition is not necessary because Boquete's temperature is naturally fresh. As there are so many different types of host families we ask our students to fill out an Immersion Pre-Program Interview that will help us select the best family for them. We will do our best to choose the family that you are looking for. Most houses are rather humble, and luxury should not be expected, but they are comfortable, safe and clean!

Each Spanish language immersion student will be given a private room and study area. Each bedroom is clean, well ventilated and illuminated. Upon request we can arrange a shared room suitable for couples with a private bathroom. Houses that can offer these facilities are usually outside of town within a 10 minute ride by public transportation.
