"Very good: organization, attention, structure, availability, etc."

Maria Piemonti, student from Argentina

The classes are very good, the only drawback for me is that the explanations are in English and I don't know almost any English. The teacher is excellent. The location of the institute is fantastic, as are the facilities. I only attended 4 classes in person and did not participate in any activity. I got the accommodation on my own. I highly recommend the institute, but whoever wants to attend the classes, keep in mind that you must have a good level of English. Perhaps a suggestion could be to make students speak more, repeating and repeating in learning a foreign language is not a problem (quite the contrary), especially in the early stages.

"I could only take lessons for a short period of time but arabic language centre gave me the best possible education"

Beate Silwedel, student from Germany

Rula is a perfect teacher. She gave me great classes and althought we had limited time (3 days only) I got a lot of information out of it.
I will definitely come back and take more classes with her.
I have also recommended the school to a colleage who will be working in Dubai soon.
I would definitely booked a longer stay at the school but i was only in Dubai for a week so i could not extend the classes.

"A very enjoyable, interesting and intense course"

Delia Heuckeroth, student from United Arab Emirates

I enjoyed the course a lot. I think I was lucky to have a teacher who made the course interesting and enjoyable.
The course was very intense and I missed two days of it which made it very hard to get up to speed. In general it is a course where you have to study at home as well otherwise you won`t be able to stay on the same level as others.

We were 14 students which is too much in my opinion. There was not even enough space for so many.

But I loved it and am going to continue

"The best school where you can learn Arabic in Dubai"

Dulce María Rodríguez Villegas, student from Mexico

I only good comments about my experience at Arabic Language Center. The school is fabulous in all sense.
Great location, the facilities are very nice and clean, Miss April at the reception was always kind and helpful as well as the rest of the staff. My dear teacher Miss Rana, she is simply the best! I'm looking forward to take the next course with her at the Center.
Overall, amazing experience. Thank you Language International for your recommendation. I'm very happy to have lived this experience.

"Zero problems :)"

Gunel Sadigova, student from Turkey

Firstly I am very grateful to Language Internatıonal for their perfect assistance and helping me in find the right school for me to learn the Arabic Language.

About the School:

The location of school was very good. I could even walk to my hotel (Warwick) after lessons. We were around 10-13 people in class. The rooms were clear and comfortable. Our teacher, Ms. Lina, explained lessons in a clear and humorous style. I was not bored during lessons, as well as all the prescribed lessons sent on mail way after the lessons as well. I had limited time (3 weeks only) but what I learned during that time was very satisfying for me.

Next year I am planning to continue to the next level with the same school. Good luck to everybody.

The Arabic Language Centre is located in the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) along Sheikh Zayed Road at the Trade Centre Roundabout. DWTC is at the heart of Dubai's Business District and within a 10-minute drive from the Dubai International Airport.

DWTC is positioned between new and old Dubai. "To one side there is the city's glittering new skyline of hotels, freehold properties, business districts, shopping malls, and entertainment resorts. To the other side is the older part of Dubai with its souqs, landscaped parks, and vibrant retail and residential districts. Dubai's historic creek, wildlife bird sanctuary, zoo, museum, heritage sites, beaches, championship golf courses, and marina are also in the vicinity."

"Do you have maybe some suggestions for housing? Can you confirm that the course is still available?"

martina mingolla, student from Italy
Raphaël Ruchet, International House: Geneva school representative

The ALC does not provide nor coordinate housing or hotel accommodation; however, we do have special student rates at the following hotels: Novotel WTC and Ibis WTC.
ALC would like to also recommend the two following hotels: Crowne Plaza Dubai and Fairmont Dubai. While we do not have any special rates with these hotels, they are within close proximity to the World Trade Centre, and located along Sheikh Zayed Road with easy access to the metro. Please find attached our August intensive term schedule. We are running classes at 3 different timings throughout the day, each course is 5 days per week, starting on August 9th-20th.

Schyene Ritter dos Santos Maia, student from Brazil
Evgeny Sokolov, Americana School school representative

We can propose 90-minute private sessions for your student on daily basis Sunday to Thursday, as requested. Note that Friday is a weekend in Dubai and we are usually closed then.

"Do you have any courses for beginners with a start date in autumn? Which course would be best for the student who would like to stay in Dubai for 3 months?"

Katrin katrin, student from Germany
Raphaël Ruchet, International House: Geneva school representative

If the student would like to start in the Fall, she can join our September 2015 Term. The schedule is not publicized yet, but it would be similar to that of September 2014, posted on your site and attached to this email, to give you an idea. We offer public classes with duration of 6-7 weeks. If she would like to stay for 12 weeks, she can enroll for another half term in public classes after she completes her first public class, or continue to study on private one-on-one basis. The student level can only be determined after the student is assessed. Once the student has confirmed her trip dates, we could give her more definite information on the classes she can enroll in.

"In case the student would prefer to postpone her decision until you publish the August term schedule, would you be able to give a rough estimate on when you are planning to publish the schedule?"

We will most likely schedule the August term schedule at the beginning of July.

"Would it be possible for the student to start on 13 October instead? He is attending a conference on the 12th."

Frida Test, student from USA

It is okay if the student needs to miss the first session. A make-up class may be required to make up for the missed material and a reduced additional cost applies in this case.

"Do you know what type of visa the student would need for this course?"

"Do you offer long-term courses of more than 16 weeks?"

Bamba Bengaly, student from Côte d'Ivoire

Yes we offer long-term courses all year round and he is welcome to make his 16 weeks course. However, if he is the only student in the level he will have the half hours of tuition as one-on-one classes and full time of cultural activities.

"Do you offer English courses in Dubai?"

Natalia Pariz Vallin de Oliveira, student from Brazil
Dmitry Solovyov, Delta Intercontact school representative

Our sister school, DEI, offers English tutoring at our shared premises in Dubai.

"The student would like to know whether you would be able to help him get a visa for more than 1 month? Do you know what type of visa he would need? Would he need supporting documents from you?"

Frida Test, student from USA
Evgeny Sokolov, Americana School school representative

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide or process any visas for students. Mr. Jalang would have to check with the UAE embassy / consulate in the country he is in regarding the visa requirements based on his nationality. Visit visas are usually offered at the airport for many nationalities. He will need to check if his nationality is among them. If the UAE visa requires a document proving his enrolment at ALC. We can issue a letter after registration is made and we have received the payment to ensure that he is a student at our centre. This letter may be a supporting document, if the consulate requires and confirms this. We suggest a good and immediate follow-up in case the process took time with the authorities.

"Do you offer the "Beginners I July/Ramadan Intensive" course for 1 or 2 weeks?"

giulia suriano, student from Italy
Evgeny Sokolov, Americana School school representative

We are offering a Ramadan term, which is a 4-week course, with the timings mentioned on your site: 9-11 a.m., 12-2:00 p.m. and 4-6 p.m.

"Could you please let me know if there are any other courses you offer for only 1 or 2 weeks other than the private lessons?"

giulia suriano, student from Italy
Evgeny Sokolov, Americana School school representative

Our levels are interrelated, so once a student completes Beginners I, they move to Beginners II. The group classes running are those in July, as displayed on your webpage, and one term in August, which is only Beginners I. Other than these, it would have to be private classes.

Dyan Test, student from USA

June 28 – July 16

Please ask your student to check regarding her entry prior to booking a flight. We can provide an enrolment letter confirming that she is an ALC student once she is registered. "Do you still have space for next week, Monday 17th of June? Can you confirm that the course and accommodation are still available?"

Natalia kilnevaya, student from United Arab Emirates

We don't have any classes commencing on Monday 17th June, I have checked your website and I can't find anything that suggests we would have a class starting on 17th. We don't provide any accommodation for students. Also, we don't have a class running as listed, our Beginners I Intensive Part A commenced on 2nd June and finishes on 12th June and not from 24/6 to 5/7 as mentioned on your webpage.

"Can the student take a placement test tomorrow in order to see in which class she should book?"

Yes we will need to schedule an assessment for the student, before she registers to a particular level. If she is in town, please have her contact our office and we will do what is needed.

"1. The student is only 16 years old and is below the minimum age of 17 years old required to join the course below. Can you make an exception and accept our student into the program? 2. Could you please tell me what start dates you have in November 2015 and also update your dates on our website? 3. Can you confirm that the course listed below is still available?"

Dyan Test, student from USA

1. The student will be turning 17 in a month. This means that she can be admitted to ALC and most covered topics are age-appropriate and applicable to him.
2. We have not entered the dates for November 2015 yet as these terms are not yet scheduled in our academic year. The start date and structure however will be very similar to the current November term, which is currently uploaded on your site. Public holidays may vary from year to year and are considered accordingly. The usual start of regular 2-months terms are beginning November, beginning January, March, May etc.. There are also intensive less than one month terms that take place in December, February, April and in the summer, confirmed as per enrolments. All these have been uploaded on your site the past two years and may still show if you need a close idea. Actual dates for next year will start appearing on your site next month.
3. Yes, as of now, the course is still available. (In case the selected timing of the course does not run, the student will be transferred to another timing of the same course within the same dates.)

"Do you have a schedule for 2014 after February?"

souad belhadi, student from France

We will do our best to upload classes for the March/April and May/June
terms some this week, although they are usually confirmed only a few weeks
in advance. Please note that every term is about 7.5 weeks in duration and
would be similar to the schedule currently publicised.
