The region of Ruwi is the business and diplomatic district of the city of Muscat, Oman. It is located in the northern part of the country. Students interested in Arabic school in Ruwi will find that this region of the city is one of the oldest parts of Muscat. Before a boom in building in the 1970s, Ruwi was known for its narrow streets and old buildings but nowadays many of these have been demolished to make way for bigger streets. There are still a few small, narrow streets where visitors can find an assortment of shopping and food. There are also more modern areas like shopping malls to visit while studying in Ruwi. Students who plan to take Arabic courses in Ruwi will have many different cultures to explore, since there are many churches and temples located in Ruwi. Most visitors will find a trip to Ruwi an exciting getaway filled with many different choices of food, shopping, and entertainment – and may even want to travel into the nearby districts of Matrah, a quiet fishing village, and Muscat, where the royal palaces are located to explore more of the city.
