LinguaMia is located in the heart of Marche region, in the proximity of most famous universities for foreigners like University of Perugia, Ancona, Macerata, Urbino. School's excellent location and its variety of courses make it an ideal location to study Italian: students can choose from standard courses, seminars related to art and Italian culture, and can decide between just a few lessons per week to fifty lessons per week in class or one to one. The school offers a social and leisure calendar to invite students to practice their language skills while visiting popular points of interest in and out the Marche region: naturalistic excursions, visits to cities renowned for their artistic beauty and to the main museums, but also wine and local food tasting events.

Our school is located in the Marche region, in the heart of Italy, and more precisely in the green valley of the province of Ancona. Close to the school, you will find Jesi with its nice pubs and restaurants, a beautiful middle age city where most of our students live during their study period. The surrounding area is famous for its extraordinary quietness, peace, and its marvelous views of green hills, olive trees, and vineyards. The Institute is the ideal base for your traveling experience throughout Italy thanks to its proximity to the most popular travel destinations such as Rome, Florence, Urbino, Assisi, and Perugia, but also the Conero natural park, the Frasassi caves, the nightlife of Rimini, the beaches of the Adriatic sea.

"Highly flexible, immediately responding to my particular needs"

Classes:
We had one-on-one lessons which flexibly adapted to my respective needs. The class materials / photo copies were rather crummy though, and it would be helpful if the institute would provide (or hint to) a standardized teaching material for structure.

Teachers:
They had friendly teachers with broad experiences, and the will to share their deep knowledge in language, history, and philosophy. I reached my personal goals like getting inspiration, bundling my existing but somewhat dispersed knowledge, building up new skills; and planning my next steps.

Location:
The institute is situated 40 km from the city of Ancona at the foot of the hills around Castelbellino and Castelplanio, which makes it easily reachable by bicycle or car from Jesi. It is dfficult by public transportation, though. There is also a bike path leading along the Esino River.

Facilities:
Bright, friendly, yet frugal. I liked it though.

Activities:
This part is not really applicable, since not much was desire, but as a future hint: city tours (Jesi) on the last day of a visit are to no avail, particularly if you're self-organized. Even so, the warm welcome by the director of the institute on the evening of my arrival was fantastic, so there was a will to make my stay comfortable.
The region offers a variety of things to do, with regard to history, landscape, wine tasting, famous people, the sea, or simply the town of Ancona.

Housing:
I stayed at the B&B in the old Center of Jesi. I was privately booked. It was an excellent accommodation.

Your letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you. If you wish to receive your paperwork by express mail, you will be charged 15 € when you register.
