Student residences are more suitable for an independent student, who is looking for clean, basic accommodation at an economic price. All students must be 13 - 19. Hyde is located on the original Hyde family estate of shipbuilder John S. Hyde on 145 beautiful acres in Bath, Maine. Facilities include:
the historic Hyde Mansion and Chase Academic Wing, home to classrooms, offices, and the library
the Carriage house, home to classrooms and offices
an all-inclusive Athletic and Student Life center, “The Joe”
a Dining Hall and Theatre
an Art Barn
a Health Center
a Spiritual Center
a Family Learning Center with 20 cozy hotel-like rooms, 4 conference rooms, a Great Room, and kitchen
the Merritt House, providing overnight accommodations and space for functions
The campus features a ropes course with zip line, state-of-the-art music recording studio donated by Michael McDonald of the Doobie Brothers and Steely Dan, an indoor climbing wall, cross country ski trails, two athletic fields, a football field and track and practice field, and two ponds.
The city of Bath is also a wonderful place to live while studying. Did you know that Bath, Maine won the Great American Main Street award in April 2012?
