Course description

French Camp in Switzerland for teenagers

Come and improve your French Skills in our beautiful lakeside chalet! Taking place in the picturesque setting of Schwarzsee,our bilingual camp offers you the chance to improve your French skills and a proactive and immersive environment.
From the teachers to the kitchen and cleaning staff, everyone who works in this camp speaks French either natively or fluently, and all workshops and activities outside of the classroom take place only in French !

Outside of the classroom, you'll get to explore the mountains, swim in the lake, sing around the campfire and much, much more - all in French , of course!

The price includes: 15 hours of French or German lessons (in small groups of 6), 2 workshops, 3 excursions, an evening program, full-pension accommodation, registration fees, airport transfer from/to Geneva Airport.

Optional extras: intensive courses (2/3 additional afternoon classes - 100 or 150 CHF per week),

Come and improve your language skills in our beautiful mountain chalet!
Located at the edge of the country‘s Fribourg region, Schwarzsee is the gateway to the Alps. Stunning mountains and a quaint little village are centered around a small lake, creating one of the most picturesque landscapes that Switzerland has to offer.

Our camp is aimed at 10 to 17-year-olds and takes place on the Schwarzsee campus, just a short walk from the lake, where you can improve your English, French or German skills in a proactive environment that truly gives you a taste of the Swiss mountain life. Outside of the classroom, you‘ll get to explore the mountains, swim in the lake and roast marshmallows over an open fire underneath a starry sky - the likes of which we can guarantee you‘ve never seen before!

School location

Located at the edge of Switzerland‘s Fribourg region, Schwarzsee is the gateway to the Alps and offers up some of the country‘s most breathtaking scenery. As well as providing the perfect environment for young people to develop their language skills, Schwarzsee also boasts a plethora of hiking trails, meaning that you can easily discover every corner of this beautiful mountainous region.

The village and stunning mountain range are centred around Die Schwarzee (German for The Black Lake), which is so-called because of the dark colour given to it by its high sulphur content - which makes it one of the healthiest places in Switzerland to bathe during the summer months, so don‘t be afraid to jump in!

In the daylight, Schwarzsee is an awe-inspiring sight, but it truly becomes special when the sun goes down: Due to its mountainous location, and lack of a nearby metropolis, Schwarzsee is home to one of the most crystal clear, star-studded skies that you‘re likely to find in the whole of continental Europe - a truly awe-inspiring sight that‘s not to be missed!

Just next to the beautiful wooden architecture, a large sports complex invites you to let off some steam. In addition to an indoor gym, there are several beach volleyball, football, basketball courts, a climbing wall and a lawn for a variety of games and activities. You can also play table tennis, table football or billiards.

The pretty village of Schwarzsee is only a 10 minute walk from the campus. The lake is only 300m from the accommodation, so a jump in the cool, fresh water is not to be missed!

We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.

Your letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you.
